Located in upstate [[New York]], this tree once looked like any other. In the quiet meadow where it grew, [[Anaximanes Ravenhurst]] proposed to his beloved [[Eliza Day]]. However, it later became the scene of a terrible murder. The reverend of the area, [[Roger Addams]], had incited an angry mob to hunt down Mr. Ravenhurst after Ravenhurst had, in vengeance, killed the witch, [[Eleanora Blackwood]]. The mob hanged him from this tree- a very important location to the man, and upon his death, the tree bellowed a terrifying shriek! The unearthly cry froze everyone present in abject fear and all lanterns and lights were extinguished. As the otherworldly cry rent the air, the tree metamorphosed into the Twisted Tree. From that night onward, the woods surrounding the tree, and the meadow itself, were always dark and cold- even on sunny days. | Located in upstate [[New York]], this tree once looked like any other. Located in upstate New York, this tree once looked like any other. In the quiet meadow where it grew, Anaximanes Ravenhurst proposed to his beloved Eliza Day. However, it later became the scene of a terrible murder. The reverend of the area, Roger Addams, had incited an angry mob to hunt down Mr. Ravenhurst after Ravenhurst had, in vengeance, killed the witch, Eleanora Blackwood.
Being the original site of his skull, for over 150 years, The Anax would appear in this location every Halloween to seek out those foolish enough to lurk on Ghost Nook Island. Though Evelyn Addams managed to take the Skull of Ravenhurst, the tree itself remained forever showing a grim visage.
