The Anax: Call of the Cursed One
In The Anax: Call of the Cursed One, Roger is a preacher. Manipulated by Eleanora Blackwood, Roger led to the death of Anaximanes Ravenhurst, and to the eventual rise of The Anax.

Notes and Trivia
Roger Addams comes from a long line of Addams men that ran the church in Wakefield since his great, great grandfather; Elias Addams erected it in 1760. Roger always was charismatic, and his height set him apart from most men on the peninsula. He learned his Bible well, and though he did not believe any of it, used the verses to his advantage. When he took over the church during the ‘Second Great Awakening’ period of the Victorian age, he held revivals and did all he could to bring the town under his control. The money in the donation plate grew ever greater, and so his sermons grew always more powerful. By the time he hung Anaximanes Ravenhurst, he had done the same in the Haunted Woods to many other innocent men. In part, he was just a bad man, but Eleanora pushed him to ever-greater heights, using him in her schemes. After he created The Anax, he lost his mind to madness and never regained his senses. He remained in an asylum until his death, and his lunatic spirit still haunts the abandoned halls to this day.
