Cereborg: Inception
At the start of Cereborg: Inception, Karloff walks Emily Harbrook to the testing room. He's aware of the virus, and his part in the plot to play out.

Karloff is a blonde, 41 year old male. He has the look of a beachbum, despite working for CereTech.

Background
The Karloff family name once filled hearts with fear in old Europe. The man, Viktor Karloff, the quintessential mad scientist, once plagued the world with his strange biological and alchemical creations. Through time, the family notoriety became the stuff of legends, but Justin Karloff, true to his family heritage, became an inventor and creator of many cutting edge robotics at CereTech Laboratories. However, Karloff’s downfall was somewhere between greed and fear when Cerebrum blackmailed the scientist into uploading a virus onto a flash drive and then installing the virus on some computer systems around the complex.
To be fair, the doctor originally had no idea what Cerebrum planned to do, until he watched Emily Harbrook change from human to synthetic. Only then, did the panicked man understand the true folly he made. Emily quickly converted him into a cereborg as well, and other than robotics information, Cerebrum saw no other value in Karloff’s brain and turned him into little more than a drone. Karloff met his end at the hands of Helena Corbin before she also became a cereborg.
