Puzzle Box

The Puzzle Box was a creation by Johann Conrad Dippel, a steam-worker and acquaintance of Calis Van Gothen. After Vlad Țepeș‏‎ was killed, his liquid form (blood) remained sentient. It escaped confinement where it was placed. Dippel created an intricate box enchanted and imbued with several magic charms. This fusion of magic and machine was able to confine Vlad within, unable to escape. The box was then given to Theodore Ravenhurst, to be placed in a magically sealed vault underneath Ravenhurst Manor. Given other items in the vault were being manipulated, it was then moved to a safe in the manor itself.

Brone Lorcan stumbled upon the safe, but thought nothing of it. However, just before Anaximanes Ravenhurst was hung, Brone was granted the key to the safe. Brone went and retrieved the box, before retreating west. After he was turned into a nosferatu by Ivor at the behest of Eleanora Blackwood, Brone hid the puzzle box; he wished to prevent the box falling into Ivor's hands. He waited until a proper target would reveal itself. He believed that target to be Absinthe Van Gothen, whom was led to the puzzle box. Given her ancestral line, she was able to easily dispel the magical runes on the box, and open it. The blood of Vlad latched onto her, forming a suit. the Blood Suit remains one of her most powerful, and manipulative, relics at her disposal.
