Background

The once fiery tempered Helena Corbin fought almost as well as Howard Wyatt when Cerebrum launched its attack. She managed to round up several scientists and was working her way towards the commons area when a Cereborged Emily Harbrook and a Cereborged [[Karloff [[stumbled upon her. Cerebrum saw Helena as a possible chance to kill or convert Howard Wyatt before the Texan could interrupt the A.I.’s plans. True to her nature, Helena refused to flee and stood her ground, first killing Karloff, and then trying to stand against Emily.

In the end, Helena succumbed to cereborg nanites and her mind, once loyal and loving towards Howard, became reprogrammed to despise him. Cerebrum calculated that since Helena appeared to be a fast, strong, and resilient as Howard, if it could convert her into a cereborg, upgrading her, then she would be superior to Howard in every way- and it turned out to be true. In a fair fight, Howard would have lost, but during her attack, she made a fatal calculation. She focused on Howard to such a degree that when he dodged one of her blows, the conversion rod she held in her hand, passed into an electrical box. The resulting power fried her circuits and killed Helena on the spot.
