Dark Mages are dark spell casters that utilize shadow magicks to defeat their foes. They tend to use a mixture of warp and corruption spells in order to break their victims to their wills. Just about any monster or human capable of understanding and casting magical spells can become dark mages. Ivor enlisted the aid of several Nightbred dark mages from around the globe to help him in his mission to summon Nuit- and to subsequently take her power.
