Introduction
The Hawthorne Asylum is an abandoned building just outside Portland. It was one of Doctor Demented's lairs, where he practiced working on the Xenopox virus. The building is crawling with his failed experiments and nurses, as he tries to find a way to resurrect his dead wife.
Biography
In Desideratum: Blood Bonds, the Hawthorne Asylum is the location of the Asylum monster hunt. When Absinthe Van Gothen arrive at the location, Doctor Demented had started testing on living subjects that came snooping around the asylum. The mutations from the virus were multitude, but it would make people grotesque or mindless and even touching them would risk exposure.
