Undine
In folklore, undines /ˈʌndiːn, ʌnˈdiːn/ (or ondines) are a category of elemental beings associated with water, first named in the alchemical writings of Paracelsus. Similar creatures are found in classical literature, particularly Ovid's Metamorphoses. In reality, undines are biological representations of the elemental force of water. Undines are very good nature and kind spirits, and have only recently begun attacking humans due to the catastrophic effects that humanity is producing in the seas. Undines can mold and shape the water, including that in the human body. Generally, they will reconstitute the human into an undine as well, where it will aid them in defeating humanity to save the world. Absinthe Van Gothen fought undines when she came to the Sauvie Docks with the Night Stalker, Kendra Tallulah, in search of The Flying Dutchman.
