Murder Moles are gigantic subterranean moles covered in little or sparse hair. They are blind with acute senses of smell and have pink, veiny flesh. They are essentially massive mole-rats, with a huge pair of thick tusks that they use for digging and for weapons. The tusks grow for their entire lifetime and only by digging through rock and earth are they able to wear them down. Many caverns in a goblin-kin den will be carved out by these animals. They tend to work well with kobolds, specifically, as both are blind and love nothing more than digging. Absinthe Van Gothen encountered several of these beasts in the Marble Halls, a cavern system outside Portland, Oregon. Upon the defeat of the troll, Stenhållare, Son of Dovregubben, a massive section of the caverns collapsed, leaving only a small number of the local creatures to survive.
