The Harvesters

MedUSA began patenting pumpkin seeds. This was the farmer, Jack Gourdon’s, livelihood. The unscrupulous corporation spent time and money systematically throwing some of its own seeds into pumpkin patches of farmers that had refused to buy their seeds. Once they could prove the farmers were using THEIR seeds, the farmers had no choice but to pay MedUSA or leave farming, but Jack refused to give up. However, when he went to sabotage the MedUSA research farm, he was doused with the very same xenopox serum seen in Desideratum: Blood Bonds.

Now on a mission to destroy MedUSA and anyone that works for or with them, Jack, who is now known as the Sinister Squash, leads an army of mutant pumpkins. His roots grow deep into his minions, and they obey without reason or concern for themselves. What is his part in the story? Will Trixie become little more than a walking vegetable?
