Notes and Trivia
Eliza Day spent her youth reading books. She loved reading more than any other proclivity. This gained her a wealth of knowledge, and the young girl voraciously obtained any information she could get, though she also loved fiction and romance! This passion helped shape her into a schoolmistress. Williamsburg swelled in population, and it became ever harder for her to breathe. She wanted a simpler life, somewhere rural, and decided to scout out. Her family had some wealth and they funded her travel along the east coast. Finally, her coach went through Wakefield, and she loved the feel of the place. It suited her, and they needed a new teacher, so Eliza decided to make it her home. She met Anaximanes Ravenhurst at that time.
The two fell in love at first sight, and enjoyed countless laughs together. She found his intellect very attractive, and they spent much of their time in conversation regarding medical and scientific breakthroughs, or philosophizing about reality and mankind’s place therein. He finally proposed to her, and life appeared to be a dream, but all dreams end, and the evil witch, Eleanora, had her own sights on Ravenhurst. She plotted Eliza Day’s demise and her plans almost succeeded. however, the manor acted as a magical dampening field, and Eliza might have survived the curse placed upon her; Ravenhurst, in his ignorance, gave her a potion forged by the very witch that wanted her dead! With Eliza’s passing, Ravenhurst went stark raving mad, and his heart never recovered. He had a statue commissioned of her as her gravestone, and for over a year, visited it every day.
