Nuit’s corruption of human blood works similarly, to some degree, as that of other demons from the Outer Darkness. Being a goddess more aligned with the night and death, her minions walk a line between the living and the dead. However, while her curse affects the spirit and is spiritual in essence, blood is a physical corporeal substance native to the Physical World. Like all genetic material in this chaotic place, every time a vampire forms, there stands a chance for mutation within their strain. The Muroni Strain or Muroni Vampires have generally pale flesh. These vampires are the products of the Domnitor vampires like Lord Ivor and Countess Elizabeth Báthory. Since Vlad’s strain was a result of the actual consumption and absorption of Nuit’s blood, these vampires tend to feel a strong bond with her. There are many Muroni vampires that become priests and cultists of Nuit for this reason. When they convert others living mortals into vampires, those also become Muroni. They are prolific and easily the most dispersed of vampire strains. Unlike many other vampire types who tend to be very patient and choosy when it comes to making more of their kind, Muroni do not discriminate. If such a vampire simply feels like having a slave or mate, they will simply convert a human. These are where the most traditional concept of vampires originates. They could almost pass for humans with very pale skin, but their eyes and fangs show their true nature.
