The Flying Dutchman

Introduction

The Flying Dutchman (Dutch: De Vliegende Hollander) is the ghost ship sailed by Captain Hendrik Van Der Decken. The ship was struck by lightning and splintered, but has been remade incorporeal after Van Der Decken had been cursed.

Biography

In Desideratum: Blood Bonds, Absinthe sees the Flying Dutchman during the Docks hunt. She attends the hunt with Kendra Tallulah. While Kendra is unable to board the ship due to its incorporeal nature, Absinthe is able to use magical artifacts to gain a physical tether.

The ship is rumored to lead to the demise of anybody who witnesses it. It's ghostly crew sails the seas, hoarding cursed artifacts in its hulls.
